Midsummer Madness
(With apologies to Shakespeare)
April 2006
Innovations Theatre School's first ever production, Midsummer
Madness retold William Shakespeare's classic A Midsummer
Night's Dream – with a few differences!
Critically
acclaimed, Midsummer Madness was lauded by its audiences,
but our first show almost didn't make it. When Innovations first
started out, a decision had to made as to what kind of show we
first wanted to present. Something different, obviously. How
about Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream?
...Shakespeare? Different? I don't think so! So the idea was
shelved.
But
the more we thought about it, the more we that that it just might
be the thing to do. So come April 2006, Midsummer Madness
was no longer just an idea, but a living, breathing and
exciting show, marking a successful and encouraging debut for
Innovations Theatre School.
