Anne McIntyre
Dance & Drama Teacher
On
stage since the age of four it is no surprise that
Anne has many years of experience both performing
and teaching. It all began with Ballet, then
it was Irish dancing followed by modern and
musical theatre in Dublin's
Diggs
Lane where she later
became a teacher of modern and hip hop dancing for
many years. Anne was then chosen to perform
with the BBC, RTE, 2FM and toured and
choreographed for The Prodigy, Scooter, Boyzone,
Brian Mc Fadden, FAB, B*Witched and the
Just 17 tours to name just a few.
It was while working with these various groups
that she started to work with a number of variety
groups, choreographing many shows such as Guys and
Dolls, The Hot Mikado, Oliver!, South Pacific,
Fiddler on the roof, Oklahoma and many other
musical
favorites!
With a
Degree from University College Dublin and a
Masters in Journalism, Anne spent most of her
years working in media, reporting for TV3 and then
as the co-presenter and producer of The Breakfast
Show on Lite FM and Q102 but always kept in touch
with her roots in theatre by choreographing and
co-directing musicals and plays for schools both
primary and secondary and musical
societies. Anne has over sixteen
years of teaching experience, working with
children aged four through to adults and continues
to teach in primary and secondary schools
throughout the Dublin and
Wicklow area.
A
qualified speech and drama teacher with the Irish
board, Anne has now completed her speech
and drama examiner exams and looks forward to
sending her students in for acting and performing
exams in the
future.
Anne
also holds the national certificate in health and
fitness, the International teachers certificate,
she is a qualified children's and teenagers
activities co-coordinator and is a pregnancy yoga
teacher.
On a
personal note: Anne Joined Innovations in 2007 as
a choreographer and has never looked back, she's
worked on many more musicals and show cases and
recently set up Innovations the Agency with
Anne Shumate to give the students yet another
avenue to express their individuality.
Anne enjoys nothing more than sitting
back and watching her young students and
future stars taking to the stage and making
her proud!!
