Innovations Theatre
School is
south-east Ireland’s premier performing arts
school, with many different classes, workshops and
performances all year round. The students study
all the facets of performance – drama, dance,
singing and general stage craft. Children aged 7
to 18 attend weekly classes in Arklow, County
Wicklow and Gorey, County Wexford. In addition to
several smaller shows throughout the year, every
Christmas and Easter large professional
productions are staged showcasing their amazing
talents.
Students are also
afforded the chance to gain valuable
behind-the-scenes experience, working backstage
with make-up, costumes, props, sets, and more,
making Innovations a 'theatre' school in every
sense of the word.
Innovations offers
more specialized tuition in the form of Street
Theatre and Realtíní
(Little
Stars) -- our school for
4 - 6 year olds, as well as the Laura Kitt
School of Irish Dancing. And classes don't
stop during the summer - every July we run a
two-week Summer Theatre School!
In addition to our
productions here in Ireland, Innovations also
tours world-wide with its own creation -- An
Croí: Irish Heart, a show celebrating the
Celtic spirit through drama, dance and song. Our
last venture abroad was to the American mid-west
in the summer of 2008.
